It was an honour to be invited to judge my first breed club appointment,and I would like to thank the officers and committee of The Border Terrier Club for their invitation and hospitality and thanks to my efficient stewards Hilary Gilpin and Mark Lowry .

Minor Puppy Dog: 6 (3)
1: Wanless' Thorneyburn No Nonsense: smart youngster, moved best in class, tight harsh jacket, good mouth, pleasing head.
2: Swindle's Buck Swifter: narrow puppy, nice size, good mouth.
3: Nicholls' Halcus Annatto

Puppy Dog: 5 (2)
1: Gilpin's Otterbobs Riggindale: excellent otter head, reach of neck and shoulder, racy and narrow, good mouth with large teeth, correct double jacket and thick pelt, well ribbed back, good feet with thick pads, moved very well . BPD & BPIS
2: Gill's Foxcraig Magic Max at Tyneaster: good coat,mouth and eye,moved ok, not as strong in head as 1.
3: Griffiths' Bootstrap Lad

Junior Dog: 14 (6)
1: Davies' Hesslemere Hi Karate: blue and tan, pleasing head and expression with dark eye, lovely harsh jacket, good tail and set, nice size, easily spanned, moved with drive. RBD
2: Houston's Earthwise Wolfbane: another good dog with a harsh coat, good in head, moved well and easily spanned.
3: McKenzie's Akenside Zadok the Priest

2: Houston's Earthwise Follow Me: nicely balanced dog, in good jacket, good head.

1: Gillam's Orenberg Obsession: nice puppy, beautiful head with good eye, strong but feminine, good length of neck into well angulated shoulder, narrow all through, good tail and set, moved well when she settled, unfortunately short of coat
2: Maltby's Stoneygin Dolly Mixture at Pherjan: b/t,moved well, nice size, good expression, good rib, harsh double coat.

1: Gregory's Remony Barley Twist: another quality puppy, super dense coat, thick pelt, good mouth, good angulation front and back, excellent head, nicely balanced, good driving movement holding her topline. BPB & RBPIS
2: Scott's Saracen Susie: liked her narrow, racy bodylines,good rib, easy to span, good tail set, moved very well.
3: Fryer's Irton Polka
